As part of our service, we liaise with you to help you create a Circus Workshop Timetable that suits your school environment. We are happy to plan our fun circus day to whatever timetable you require.
We would love to hear from you about your groups needs and we carefully consider the age and ability of your group when we deliver a structured circus workshop for you.
We simply teach one class at a time and encourage as many members of staff to join in the make it a positive day for everybody.
Typically, most schools ask us to teach hourly circus workshops for a class at a time in the school hall.
Young Classes
For nurseries, infant schools or we can provide silly circus demonstrations, partner work and age appropriate skills as part of the circus workshop timetable. We can come dressed up as bright and colourful circus workers and clown around with you.
Older Classes
Our circus skill classes are suitable for older children and the difficulty of the tricks taught can easily be present to the group. Older children can try to master more advanced juggling and unicycling.
Short Classes
We take one school class at a time for a minimum time of thirty minute circus classes considering a thirty minute class as a really short taster session. “Time flies when you are having fun” and so our short circus classes go so quickly that the children will only have time for three or sometimes four circus skills – Your class could try perhaps try clowning, flower sticks, plate spinning and feather balancing on a short Mr Dan Circus Workshop.
if you want to buy more time to give the children a more substantial turn at circus skills, hire a Mr Dan circus workshop for more than one full school day and receive a £50 discount to save you money.
Hiring a two day circus skills workshop will make it easier for you to create a timetable where every body gets a good fair turn.
Longer Classes
The longer classes allow more time for learners to practice and understand circus skills. In longer classes the group could try a wide range of circus skills such as feather balancing, juggling, plate spinning, diabolo, stilts, flower-sticks, tightrope walking, and in longer classes for children older than key stage two we could try unicycling.
If you have larger groups of above thirty learners, which could be perhaps found at a scout camp or comprehensive school with a whole year to engage with, then we can provide a team of circus teachers to assist the bigger groups for you.
Make a Show
Mr Dan can also work with your group to create a performance to show at an arranged date or at the end of the day. This is suitable if you permit just one group to work with our tutor for the day . We have delivered many shows for the friends of families in a variety of circumstances such as holiday’s clubs, community projects and week circus workshop projects.
Drop In Workshop
We can also provide drop in style circus workshops that are suitable for fun events and festivals. These workshops are suitable for event when people are unsure what time the group are attending the workshop.
